Hi After receiving some feedback I am experimenting with a larger font size for this newsletter. I realise many people probably read on their mobile phones, so hopefully this text will help. I have, for possibly slightly nerdy reasons, spent four hours this morning putting together a blog post detailing the defence and prosecution cases in the Glinner trial. I think it's quite revealing. Do have a read. When you're done with that, here are some other things I think might be worth spending your time on: - The legend that is Julie Bindel has written a blistering attack on the Scottish establishment after For Women Scotland campaigner Susan Smith was told she faced potential criminal charges for allegedly damaging an umbrella during a protest outside the Scottish Parliament. Julie's article is called: "Allowing the Trans Taliban to hound and bully women is shameful". It looks like the public outrage/scorn has already had an effect - the Mail's follow up piece reports the possible charge against Susan is apparently already under review. By the by I saw Julie at the Glinner trial yesterday and she told me she is doing something on the Cambridge University Society of Women. I cannot wait to find out more. - The indomitable Tanya de Grunwald is doing incredible work carving out a decent career explaining to businesses why their previously blind embrace of DEI n' Pride n' Progress n' Inclusivity may prove to be counter-productive. Tanya hosts the excellent podcast This Isn't Working. She has subsequently launched This Is Working - a way of helping business people discuss their ideas in moving the workplace forward to avoid toxicity and focus on the things that matter. - Suzanne Moore's opening remarks at the Battle of Ideas talk: "Sex Realism and the New Book Burnings". It's the good stuff. - Have you been watching Riot Women? It is a terrific drama. Nutmeg has a thing or two say about it on the Glinner update. Don't let it put you off, though. It's so well-written and acted. Glinner also has a piece on the worldwide medical quackery and the crazy prison bonkers nonsense going on in Australia. Useful resource, that Glinner substack. - Helen Joyce has also been pulling up trees down under. Here is pt 1 and pt 2 of her keynote speech to the Gender Healthcare Summit organised by the Coalition Advancing Scientific Care. - Sticking (randomly) with Australia, here is a doctor on a podcast trying desperately to get the world to see sense about what gender medicine is doing to children. "Let's Talk Medicine - A Critical Child Protection Issue". People for whom safeguarding was their prime professional and likely personal objective have been told they need to just look the other way and not think about it. And they did! Amazing. I will likely leave you alone for a bit after three newsletters this week. Hope the Big Font works for you. Thanks very much for subscribing. I'll be back sooner or later. Best Nick |
